Yay! someone's preserving fan culture!
I majored in history in college, so preserving history is important to me. But fandom's history is pretty much ignored by people outside of fandom, and even within fandom it's often forgotten in the continual waves of newbies as fandoms are born, grow, change, and decline. So it's awesome to me that OTW and the University of Iowa are working together to preserve fan cultural history. Right now it looks like they're primarily interested in 'zines and/or con programs; if you've got some you're willing to donate, please contact them and see if it's something they can use. I'm sure if you've got something else particularly interesting related to the fan experience, they'd love to know about it. (Note that we're not talking signed cast photos and things like that; people tend to keep those things, and there are lots of them, and they're official merchandise. OTW wants things fans do and create.)
